| Advice, support and grants for children of professional actors |
|
We also help children whose step-parent or adoptive parent or guardian is an actor. Applications and grants are kept confidential. TACT grants can cover anything that will particularly help actors’ children. Many families seek help with childcare costs, with special equipment, extra-curricular classes, clothing and school uniform, or travel costs. But every family is in a unique situation and our grants fit round your child’s needs. |
|
TACT is unable to help people who have solely worked in variety, as an extra, or done amateur dramatics, but we may be able to recommend another source of advice and support, or you could ask your branch of Equity for advice. TACT is generally not able to pay private school fees, although we will consider it if private schooling is indicated by the child’s special needs or family situation. Please do ask if in doubt. We have sometimes been able to fund extra-curricular costs for children in private education. |
Please telephone TACT to talk through your situation in confidence 020 7636 7868. If you would like to fill out and send us the grant application form, please download our application form and return it to us. |
If you are an actor or performer but not sure if you would be eligible, please still contact us. We will do our best to find the most appropriate source of help for you. |
